Dog Parks and Water Parks

Houstonians love their dogs. In most public spaces owners are required to keep their four-legged family members leashed but the City operates some half dozen parks where owners can let their dogs off leash to run and play freely. In addition, there are numerous dog parks operated by neighborhood associations, municipalities and counties.

Water Parks

When the weather gets hot, Houstonians go swimming. Water is what makes the Texas heat bearable, even fun. It's not surprising then that the city is home to numerous water parks, where kids and adults alike can splash and play and enjoy long summer days. From the fountains at Discovery Green to the pools and sprays of SplashTown Houston to the speedy slides and white water beaches of Schlitterbahn Galveston, you'll find a water attraction for every stage, every age and every budget in and around Houston.
