Fitness Centers

With more than 250 days of sunshine a year, Houston is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts. The City maintains more than 350 public parks and more than 200 green spaces and esplanades. Among these are playgrounds, skate parks, fitness centers, and hike and bike trails. Miller Outdoor Theatre in Hermann Park offers a diverse schedule of professional performances, all free. Discovery Green, a 12-acre green space in downtown Houston offers a variety of concerts, exercise classes and activities, many at no charge. Additionally, many neighborhoods and master-planned communities in and around the city maintain their own parks, playgrounds, swimming pools, and hike and bike trails.
